What makes us different from the Rest ?
We approach your injuries with multiple professionals. Did you know that the most common conservative approach recommended by your medical doctor is to first treat with either a physical therapist or a chiropractor. Our facility offers both specialties.
Chiropractic Care
We offer gentle manipulation to correct misaligned vertebrae which in turn relieves the pressure of pinched nerves . These misalignments can occur from poor posture or trauma. However by re-positioning the vertebrae we allow the message from the pinched nerve to return to normal and release the muscles from the spasms that cause your pain. We find that most back pain will occur from these simple misalignments, remember since these joints are weight bearing and they tend to become unstable after their misalignment. So with this in mind, once the vertebrae regains its proper position we then institute a strengthening plan to increase stability which reduces the problem from reoccurring.
Corrective Exercises
Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues. The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation. Corrective exercises should precede more integrated exercises, because they can cue the patient’s motor system to respond in a more desirable way and assist in removing or improving biomechanical constraints.
Physiotherapy
Our physical therapist helps the patient regain range of motion and strengthening by developing a specific program for your injury. This plan is developed to minimize recurrences and allow a patient to lead a more healthier life style.
Lifestyle Advice
Our team here at McCarrin Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center is dedicated to helping you achieve your long-term health and wellness goals by offering you reliable lifestyle advice. If you are not sure if the lifestyle choices you are making are worsening or improving your condition, we are here to help. We address the typical chiropractic issues as well as coach our patients to live a healthier life by looking at the individual as a whole mentally, physically and emotionally.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy is a chiropractic treatment used to help reduce muscle pain and increase range of motion. By using sound waves, we are able to stimulate deep inside the tissue. This minimizes stiffness, swelling, and pain while also promoting circulation, and pain-free movement.
Pre/Postnatal Chiropractic
Here at McCarrin Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center, we offer a conservative approach to treating pregnant women. Our prenatal care is gentle and safe. We aim to alleviate the stress and strains of pregnancy while improving comfort for both the mother and baby. We understand the physical changes that come with pregnancy, and we offer relief without using any drugs.
Electrical Stimulation
Electrotherapy is an alternative pain management treatment option that involves the use of mild electromagnetic pulses to provide relief for the patient. This treatment option can dull pain, repair tissue, strengthen muscles, and even improve your blood circulation.
Cold Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and help accelerate your healing process. Laser treatment can be used on people suffering from acute and chronic conditions in order to eliminate pain and swelling, increase functionality, and reduce spasms.
Preventive Care
Preventive care is designed to reduce recurrence by detecting misalignments before they inhibit your life style. Chiropractors will feel the motion of the spine, when a vertebrae doesn’t have it’s normal movement then it is considered a “fixation”. These joints can develop into future pinched nerves if left uncorrected. Preventive care can range from a once month or as needed depending on the patient. It is important to remember that most patients treat injuries based on pain. Since pain is the last thing to show up and the first symptom to disappear then most conditions can go left untreated until they become severe. This is why most chiropractors recommend some form of preventive care. Our care is design specifically to each individual patient .
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is used for multiple reasons. Massage can reduce tight muscles which may contribute to preventing reoccurring back problems. Massage therapist can assist the healing process by removing the toxins that develop in the muscles as a result of tight contractions and spasms. Combined with the use of chiropractic care and physical therapy the patient is able to relieve pain, restore mobility and return to a healthier life style.
